Google has now taken over this Blogger site and won't let me copy and paste from my diary on the myOrganiser website so I need to link you into there to get the general update from April onwards - click here - but please do read on for more info if you have already come from there! Apologies for any inconvenience!
Update January 2010!
So, further to the update on the website (linked above) I'm off to Salford Quays soon - to the lovely Lowry centre - for the Nations & Regions conference which is held for production companies based outside London. There are more details of that side of my life on my Studio Scotland blog
Personally, like many of you, I've had to psych myself up to come back to work in the freezing cold. Today the snow has suddenly almost disappeared but I've never known such biting cold winds. Even with the central heating on in our offices, it is still cold. Extra jerseys and groovy socks add that certain je nais c'est quoi! To think I was in sunny Spain just 4 days ago.
Must get on with some work now - please do drop me a line and let me know how you're doing.

March 2009 [from myOrganiser website] and I'm off to London this week in my capacity as head of production for Studio Scotland. I will be attending the Factual Commissioning Forum to meet broadcasters from around the world and discover what documentaries they are looking to commission for their next season.*
Later in the week I'm at the Gliterary Lunch for people like myself who are interested in writing and fine dining! This month I will be meeting Marcel Theroux & Mary Turner Thomson. Marcel Theroux, brother of Louis and son of Paul, is a critically acclaimed novelist in his own right and won the Somerset Maugham Award in 2002 for Paperchase. His new novel Far North is a compelling read which takes the reader on an incredible journey through an unforgettable arctic landscape. Set in the near future, it is a powerful tale of retribution and forgiveness and has a wonderful heroine.
Mary Turner Thomson, an Edinburgh girl, received a call in April 2006 which blew her life apart. The woman on the other end of the phone claimed to have been married to Mary's husband for 14 years and that they had five children together. A web of lies and deceit unfolded. The Bigamist is Mary's chilling account of how one man manipulated an intelligent, independent woman, conning her out of thousands of pounds and leaving her to bring up their children.
On Friday I'm off to my annual Work/Life Balance weekend organised by the ASB - the Association of Scottish Businesswomen. I always look forward to this event as I get the chance to meet up with friends old and new whilst relaxing - yet having the opportunity to learn if I so desire! (and I do, I do!) This year, we're at a new venue (to me) called Kilconquhar Castle which is along the east coast of Scotland - just past one of my other favourite haunts, The Crusoe Hotel!
So it's going to be a very busy week for me as I'm hardly in the office - and that means I need to work twice as hard to keep on top of it all. I use my trusty Ameo which is a mini, mini PC version of my main office computer. It allows me to show trailers for our latest productions, write Office documents and of course keep in touch via the BlackBerry element...in fact it does EVERYTHING my main computer does AND MORE but in such a neat package that fits into my handbag or briefcase. I love it and have been a fan for the last 3 years! (see pic)
To help do my bit for the environment, I've sold my beloved soft back Land Rover Freelander but absolutely love my new Citroen C3 Pluriel car...to read more on my blog if anybody is really interested - click the car on right!
Coming Next Week...my main event next week beginning 16th is the ESBC (East of Scotland/Edinburgh's Businesswomen's Club) AGM so I should have lots of time to continue organising our new office in Denmark and setting up our new training sessions for Lifestyle Managers...
Hope to catch you soon either here or on my blog here which also gives lots of interesting links, videos and more personal insight! I decided to put it on a peaceful green background to get away from the frenetic rush of the office...please do leave your comments!

I'm now putting my blog online for the rest of the world to read instead of just using Deborah's Diary on our website at myOrganiser
I've never felt quite right at the thought of blogging because it implies that I expect the world to be interested in what I have to say - and I'm just not that important - however, surprisingly enough, it appears that Deborah's Diary seems to get quite a few hits on our website. So, in the interest of self discipline ie what it takes to keep a regular diary, here goes.
My slideshow on the right shows the the team and I at work doing what we do - making life easier for our time-stretched clients around the world! It also includes some of the self indulgent elements below...
I have also taken the liberty of showing a little film of my fabby new car - a Citroen C3 Pluriel - at the foot of the page. It's a little convertible, hatchback, spider and nippy wee runabout all wrapped up in one package. This is one of my nods to being environmentally aware as I move down(?) from my gorgeous Freelander - but what I like about the Pluriel is that it's still fairly high off the ground giving all round visibility as I'm not renowned for my height!
...I'm also a collector of quality handbags indulging in Chanel, Hermes, Mulberry and LV. As Dorcas from Lark Rise to Candleford would say, "bags are my one little weakness"!
I have added a number of gadgets to help make YOUR life easier - from a stockmarket ticker to a currency converter and I've added some news feeds.
Finally, please complete our fun poll at the foot of the page - and if you'd like to be a 'Follower' or post your comments, I'd love to hear from you. Just keep it polite please!
